With guide in Rondane National Park

By Norwegians, the Rondane massif is one of the most beloved hiking areas in the country.  Rondane National Park is an ideal place to experience the mountains and highlands of Eastern Norway. This was the first National Park in Norway, listed in 1962. Today, it covers an area of almost 1,000 square kilometres. Within the Park you find ten peaks that reach beyond 2,000 meters in height. Not all of them are reachable on this tour, but we’ll try to climb one.

At Høvringen we are in the highlands, where the mountains are easier to climb, and the landscape calls for peace and meditation. We’ll climb the mountain Formokampen where we have great view of the Rondane massif and on clear days also Jotunheimen and Dovrefjell.

When we switch accommodations, from Mysuseter to Høvringen, the luggage is transferred, so that we can enjoy the hike with just a light daypack.

After a strenuous day of hiking, we relax in a comfortable hotel, and enjoy good company and a tasty dinner based on local ingredients, while allowing today's adventures to sink into our minds.
